Colton Dust is the name we have given to our band.
As it is hard enough to come up with a name that is new and hopefully exclusive, we've searched for something not that typical for a rock band. All of us, coming from the same region here in the south of the Netherlands, which still is referred to as the Eastern Mine District although mines closed decades ago, It seemed good to us to honour the land, the towns, the hills, the district we grew up in.
Colton is an old word for coal mining town and the dust coming from mining coal speaks for itself.
We are Colton Dust and if you would be brave enough to lift the dusty veil, you might as well discover some black gold.
